Hello. Thank you for your thoughtful question!
The Infinity Street – Hierarchy of Numbers material is designed to support children in learning the structure and naming of very large whole numbers - from simple units all the way to sextillions. It uses color-coded houses and numeral cards to reinforce the decimal system and place value hierarchy in increasing powers of ten.
While using a second set in reverse may seem like a creative way to represent decimal fractions, we do not recommend it. In the Montessori method, decimal fractions (like tenths, hundredths, etc.) are introduced using different materials that are specifically designed for that purpose - such as the Decimal Fraction Board, Decimal Fraction Cards, and the Bead Frame with decimal extensions.
Using Infinity Street for decimal work may lead to conceptual confusion and is not aligned with the intended purpose of the material.
